The Permanent International Secretariat of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC PERMIS) in cooperation with the World Bank,  the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development, and Environment of the Republic of Moldova and the Commission on the Protection of the Black Sea Against Pollution is organizing a stakeholder webinar to initiate consultations in Moldova on the design of the “Blueing the Black Sea” Program – A Regional Initiative to Tackle Marine Pollution and Climate Change in the Black Sea Region, on 22 March 2021 at 14.00 pm (GMT+2). The event will be held in collaboration with the Common Maritime Agenda National Hub of Moldova.

The webinar will offer a platform for the stakeholder community to initiate consultations on the pressing issues and priorities in prevention, reduction and control of pollution of Moldova’s waterways and on the public and private sector investment opportunities that emerge in the process. Outcomes of the webinar will inform the architecture and modalities of the planned “Blueing the Black Sea” (BBSEA) regional project funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and by PROBLUE. The BBSEA GEF project aims to tackle marine pollution and catalyze Blue Economy investments in the Black Sea region. This information will also support a national and regional pollution diagnostic (funded by PROBLUE TF) that will form the baseline for further action.

This virtual public event will be held via Zoom and livestreamed via Facebook

The working languages of the event will be English and Romanian.
