The Common Maritime Agenda will repeat last year’s success, by organising the Black Sea Common Maritime Agenda Stakeholder Conference in 2024! The event will be held in-person, in Chișinău, Moldova, on 11 September 2024, under the auspices of the Moldovan Coordinator.

The Conference is a landmark annual event under the Common Maritime Agenda for the Black Sea. It will gather speakers of diverse background and extensive experience around blue economy topics. The event will address blue economy challenges and opportunities, delving into discussions concerning innovation, energy transition, blue skills, pollution and more. This is an excellent opportunity for our community to engage in cross-sector exchanges, to foster collaboration and sharing of scientific knowledge, best practices and lessons learnt. As per tradition, stakeholders will take centre stage with a co-creation session dedicated to the identification of policy and funding priorities for the development of the Black Sea sustainable blue economy.

The Conference topics address the three main goals of the Common Maritime Agenda: 1. Healthy Marine and Coastal Ecosystems, 2. A Competitive, Innovative, and Sustainable Blue Economy for the Black Sea and 3. Fostering Investment in the Black Sea Blue Economy.

The public session of the conference will be followed on 12 September by closed-door meetings of the steering group of the CMA and of the SustAqua technical group. Only invited members can attend these meetings.
