The TOURAL project is honored to announce the International Conference “New Challenges for Underwater Nature and Cultural Heritage Tourism during the Ocean Decade,” hosted by the AMU UNESCO Chair in Maritime and Coastal Archaeology in collaboration with the UNESCO 2001 Convention Secretariat.
The Conference is organised under the auspices of the UNESCO Chair of Aix-Marseille University in Coastal and Maritime Archaeology, the Department of Underwater Archaeological Research of the French Ministry of Culture (DRASSM), and the UNESCO-UNITWIN network for underwater archaeology, and in collaboration with other two EU projects; the EMFAF project ecoRoute and the EMFAF project uBlueTec.
TOURAL Special Session
TOURAL project hosts the Special Session: “Development of cultural & creative tourism in rural and remote areas, empowered by multidimensional models of tourism growth” on 30th of January 2026, which will focus on:
- Sustainable balanced growth among different areas in rural regions
- Innovation in business model development
- Macro-regional cooperation
- Barriers and policy challenges.
