Event hosted by MEP Nina CARBERRY, Member of the European Parliament, SEArica Vice-Chair for Atlantic, Ports and Multi-Use Platforms

Organised with the support of the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions(CPMR).

Dear Sir or Madam,

MEP Nina CARBERRY, Member of the European Parliament, SEArica Vice-Chair for Atlantic, Ports and Multi-Use Platforms is pleased to invite you to the Conference intitled:

“EU PORTS STRATEGY: Ports at the heart of European Strategies and Regional Development”

on Tuesday 3 February 2026 (10.00 – 12.00) at the European Parliament in Brussels.

This parliamentary event will bring together Members of the European Parliament, policy-makers and key stakeholders to discuss the strategic role of European ports as engines of economic growth, green innovation, connectivity, and resilience across coastal and maritime regions.

It will provide a platform to exchange views and practical insights from the ground on how to unlock the full potential of ports for Europe’s competitiveness, sustainability and security. Discussions will focus on ports as industrial and logistics hubs, enablers of the green transition, and critical assets for secure supply chains, dual-use capacity and Europe’s defence and preparedness.

Particular attention will be given to the role of EU funding instruments, including the future Connecting Europe Facility, in ensuring fair access to investment for all ports, including smaller, peripheral, island and outermost regions.

➡️ A detailed agenda will be shared in early January.

Registration is already open, as the number of seats is limited.
