Join the Survey on the BRIDGE-BS Blue Economy Observatory for the Black Sea!
As part of the H2020 BRIDGE Black Sea project, we invite you to participate in our survey on the Black Sea Blue Economy Observatory (BEO). This survey aims to gather feedback from the Black Sea community on the content and structure of the BEO, an online platform currently under development.
Through this survey, we target potential users of the platform—individuals and institutions involved in or interested in the Blue Economy and socio-economic aspects of the maritime sectors in the region—in order to: • Raise awareness about the ongoing development of the Black Sea Blue Economy Observatory.
• Assess community interest in the platform. • Ensure that the platform’s content is both useful and relevant to its users. • Collect suggestions for further improvement. • Identify potential data sources. Accurate data on marine and coastal activities is crucial for shaping effective maritime policies and providing industries with a clear market perspective. Significant progress has been made in gathering and sharing data on marine-based activities in recent years. A key example is the European Union's Blue Economy Observatory, launched in 2022, which supports the monitoring and analyzing economic activities related to oceans, seas, and coastlines.
Establishing a Blue Economy Observatory for the Black Sea region would address the unique economic and environmental challenges specific to this area, including those faced by countries outside the European Union's scope. This initiative would foster regional cooperation, enhance market transparency, and promote the sustainable use of Black Sea marine resources.
The survey will be accessible for a month, until 15.12.2024. It is designed to take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete. Thank you for your time and valuable contribution; please kindly forward this to your relevant network. |
